Little Learners

“Space is for everybody. It’s not just for a few people in science or math, or for a select group of astronauts. That’s our new frontier out there, and it’s everybody’s business to know about space.”
- Christa McAuliffe, American astronaut and teacher

Geared toward children 5 years old and under, our Little Learners program will be sure to engage, inspire, and strengthen your little one’s understanding of their place in the universe!

Led by a Discovery Center educator, join us for a reading of our favorite science-themed books and a discussion about the topics in an understandable way for young learners. Participation in this program is included with general admission, and no reservation is required.

Please note:

  • Little Learners will meet in front of the murals outside the planetarium theater from 12:30-1:00 on the second Wednesday of each month, from September to December.

  • While Little Learners is in session, at least one adult must stay within view of their children. Older siblings are also welcome to attend Little Learners.

  • Changing tables with diaper pails are available in all first floor restrooms near the Discovery Center’s entrance.

  • While we are a nursing friendly organization; please ask a staff member if you would prefer a quiet, private space to nurse.
