Little Learners
“Space is for everybody. It’s not just for a few people in science or math, or for a select group of astronauts. That’s our new frontier out there, and it’s everybody’s business to know about space.”
- Christa McAuliffe, American astronaut and teacher
Geared toward children 5 years old and under, our Little Learners program will be sure to engage, inspire, and strengthen your little one’s understanding of their place in the universe!
Led by a Discovery Center educator, join us for a reading of our favorite science-themed books and a discussion about the topics in an understandable way for young learners. Participation in this program is included with general admission, and no reservation is required.
Please note:
Little Learners will meet in front of the murals outside the planetarium theater from 12:30-1:00 on the second Wednesday of each month, from September to December.
While Little Learners is in session, at least one adult must stay within view of their children. Older siblings are also welcome to attend Little Learners.
Changing tables with diaper pails are available in all first floor restrooms near the Discovery Center’s entrance.
While we are a nursing friendly organization; please ask a staff member if you would prefer a quiet, private space to nurse.
