Education Specialist
Play a leadership role in science education at Northern New England’s premiere air and space museum! We are seeking a creative, dedicated professional to share their knowledge of and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering and mathematics with people of all ages and from all walks of life. You will work closely with our Education Coordinators and talented, knowledgeable full and part-time team members to design, program, build and deliver planetarium shows, exhibits and programs for general audiences, schools, children, teens, adults and seniors.
We seek candidates with a firm grasp of science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics and excellent communications skills to work with our visitors and program participants, at the Discovery Center and in outreach venues in Northern and Central New England. A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or museum studies is required, with demonstrated aptitude for effectively teaching/sharing scientific information with both children and adults.
