August 29, 7 PM Tzol’kin & Haab: A New Year in Old Mayan Time
Join archaeoastronomer R. P. Hale in exploring some of the earliest - and latest - findings about how the ancient Mayans viewed time and astronomy and how they constructed the most accurate calendar ever in human history.

September 5, 7 PM Movements in the Heavens
Why does the Moon move from west to east? What does it mean for a planet to move in retrograde? Learn how and why the Sun, Moon, and planets appear to move against the background of the stars with Education Director Dave McDonald as your guide. Time travel is even possible in our state-of-the-art Digital Sky Planetarium theater. This programs begins at 8:15 PM, following our Tonight's Sky show at 7 PM. Weather permitting, a FREE Skywatch will begin at dusk.

September 12, 7 PM Teen Night: Ultimate Giant X-Box 360
Back again by popular demand. Can you imagine having SIXTEEN people playing the same X-Box 360 game on FOUR giant projected screens with Dolby 5.1 surround sound in the forty-foot domed theater of the Planetarium? Video gaming has never been so BIG. Teams will be set up. Made possible with the assistance of NASA STEREO and the New Hampshire Technical Institute Animation and Graphic Game Programming degree program.

September 19, 7 PM Family Night: Magic or Science
Be mystified by magician “Mr. Phil” as he performs intriguing illusions with a science connection. How much will he tell you about “how he does that”? A fun night of science entertainment for the whole family.
